Givers Hands NGO (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our donors, volunteers, partners, and website visitors in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that is necessary for coordinating volunteer activities, processing donations, issuing SARS Section 18A tax receipts, and providing updates on community programs. This may include:

• Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number
• Company / Institution details (for corporate partners)
• SARS Tax / ID numbers (specifically for Section 18A tax invoices upon request)
• Donation transaction references and payment timestamps

3. Payment & Banking Security

We do not store credit or debit card numbers on our servers. Online payments are processed through PCI-DSS compliant gateways (such as WooCommerce payment providers). Direct EFT payments are transacted directly within your personal banking environment.

4. Information Sharing

We never sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties. Data is only accessible to authorized Givers Hands coordinators for program execution and tax compliance.
